I am grateful to Dave (and Brendan) for taking the time to compose and post the notes in the Winemaker's Diary - they are a pleasure to read and give one a way to vicariously share in the harvest. One can also appreciate the tremendous amount of work (and joy) involved in producing fine wine.

A somewhat abbreviated tasting note: the 1998 Aca Modot tasted three times over the past year has matured from simply very nice to satisfying to outstanding. I lost my specific notes, but can remember from the last bottle - a well balanced wine with an excellent nose and finish. Outstanding fruit with enough wood to make things very interesting.
