I must say that after 13 years in the wine business (sales & marketing),
Thomas Mercer-Hursh's comments have restored my faith in the American consumer.
He actually gets it.
At the end of the day, the question is "What's it worth to ME". Wineries
that answer that question with the appropriate price will succeed in the
long run, and the price/quality ratio will reign supreme.
Boy, I must be getting idealistic in my middle age.
