January 31, 2021 OK, another day I have decided on my new Model S. Pat and Susie want midnight Silver Metallic so I say OK,........., It will be a Raider color......silver and black....... We hope to bottle the Luminaire and Rose tomorrow so it will be nice......... The Market will open tomorrow and I suspect stocks will be down again. Seriously, these speculative stocks are creating CRAZY things in the market..... ....I was into the Market back in 1969 and there were crazy things going on but nothing like this........ in 1969 as I have said before, but this is different so I am concerned these speculative stocks will crash like bfore. I think TSLA will continue to go up after the crash Monday February 21, 21 7:30, I need some IPA OK, The market was no big thing today but we had other things......... Like bottling our Luminaire and Fresco Rose............. Then I was surprised these two guys who failed on my Generator came in today and tried to find out why my 60+ thousand generator did not work out the other day....... As far as I saw with a lot of rain outside they failed. SSOSOSOSO due I sue, no.......I have never sued but this is a failure of 60+............ Tomorrow is another day Tuesday February 02, 2021 So 8 It was another day of problems with our Generator. Should I sue? I have never sued anyone. What are my options?? This Generator is not working............ We labeled our new Sparkling wine to day so it is ready to be ordered. I like a glass every night. Pat says it is too dry and that is why I like it. It has no sugar left like. All sparkling wine has sugar left so not dry tasting, so take a sip and love the effervescence like no other sparkling wine........... So my wise kid Susie, scored me a few bottles of Pliny The Younger so I hope she comes up here soon. OK, so many things....... There may be events again but it is up in the air? There could be a Barrel Tasting Event again, but we do not know. The Passport Event has been canceled again. I have heard that so many Wineries around us did not even Harvest Grapes this year........WHY, are they scarred, our wine is fine and now I hear many wineries in Napa are suffering because they are not seeing customers.......?????? They charge as much as a tasting for $100......we do not charge anything....... OH, we have to open again!! All wineries!! OK why not...........Don't get me into it, as you know, we are not the problem........it is people sadly dying and have other problems and they are old and not coming here SOSO why are we shut down?????? We are doing fine, but other wineries around here have been dependent to have customers experience our wine and we miss them also. LOOK, we do not want to open up outside right now when it is real cold. Eventually we all want to open up in our great tasting rooms and be inside........... SO I understand we hope everyone will be vaccinated this summer and we can see all of you again......... I need some IPA and a new series with Pat..............................................escape Wednesday February 03, 2021 7 Pat and I ordered pick up out tonight. I love cooking but she wanted to see what was out there......We ordered from Catelli's in Geyserville so easy pick up, little rain and had wonderful food.. Many things happened here today, but not that you would be interested in.......I still do not have my Generator working but I still have hope.......... The Market was not too interesting so tomorrow is another Day...... Pat and I will go up and look at one of our old good series......Better Call Saul..... Thursday February 04, 2021 7+ We grow Nebiola which is used in Italy to make Barolo, maybe I should grow more, but no one has been successful growing Nebiola in this country. We blend it into our Italiano so I wanted to taste some of the high end Barolo from Italy and I tried one tonight and it is intense so I need to taste again tomorrow........my mind is always working and I want to make the best wine i can.......... Again the Market was predictable in my stocks Game went down again, not my desire to go into trading like that......sure I trade TSLA at times but not now........ As you know I have a new Model S ordered so you could see at their site what I may get in a month or so, nice different look inside and faster but what I want is to drive from here to Santa Cruz and back on one charge and I will have that capability....... I went to Safeway and it was crowded so I was careful I had some rewards I had to get. Usually we have used Instacart with some good success but it is always better to select what I want so we are good for another week. Generator!! Still a problem.......I hear a new tech may come in tomorrow, still not working and counting, one year now........... She died only two years ago.......I believe she is in our bodies because of all the input she gave us and inspired us to give to our generations............ so don't get me ionto our cat. Pat has fed him for a year now but he still is following me around because I was the first person to feed him........I live with it.....he thinks about his next Fancy Feast like I like for my next meal. I have tried to even give him some left over fish we had and he only wants fancy feast........... Pat had a meeting with Catalina and Jesse today to decide when we will open again and they decided on the beginning of March when we usually did our big Barrel tasting...........I di not get involved, I think we need to be open........with still masks and maybe double now........ so we will have barrels out for tasting, but our Wine Growers organization is not involved with Barrel tasting until May..........I guess Pat and the gang decided to make sure you have an appointment......keep checking........... Saturday February 06, 2021 OK, I am into the Super Bowl especially back in 1968 when the Raiders played the Packers..........so I do not have that match up this year or since..........I wish both teams would lose tomorrow but if I have to make a choice it would be TB. I want to see Mahomes on his back. Monday February 08, 2021 7+ I got my wish, Mahones was on his back a few times. I still was amazed he could still look like he would make a great play.........A few times, close calls and KC could have won..........I rooted for Brady for the first time, he did a great job...........but the defense was the big thing........I am a Raider Fan so We need a defense............ My holdings on Cruise stocks and Airlines did better today. I do have gains in all now........... We have a customer who has an order for 38 cases. She wants her 90 year old Father to pick up the wine.......... Yes, he is not going to do it, even though he says he could do it.......we convinced him there were other alternatives........ . We do not know why this customer wants her Father to pick it up SO This has beeeennnnnnnn going on for a few weeks. She lives in Fresno and her father lives in Richmond about 1.5 hours away. This Father sounds strong on the phone and says he drives down to see his daughter every few months. Fresno is another 2 hours for him......I hope he has a Tesla.............. S0 we are asking one of our employees to drive to Richmond......and charge them for the gas and time........There is the possibility to ship to her and we have offered below our cost................... I did consume some last night so I need an escape.........The Australian Open.......Nadal Tuesday February 09, 2021 7+ So we are close to sending Jose down to Richmond with 36 cases of Dave's Cuvee. This customer knows good wine. So Nadal won but has a bad back so I do not think he wil win.......... I Did not shut off the power today, will do tomorrow. OH, I asked how I can check to make sure all this 60K+ investment generator works........Yes I will turn off the power and see if we have winery back up and water and internet. We need power in the guesthouse The Market today was OK, and I finally have a profit in Lyft, the future? of ride share The impeachment of Trump. Is it a waste of time? I don't think so since I always think of the future. Sure the Republicans will not step up to convict him since the Senate has the vote and they need 67% to vote. BUT it will go down in History NOW I am upset!! Why can't the whole Nation vote???????? We as a nation, decide by vote? why can't the rules be changed? Why do we have these Senators from small population Republican states have 2 senators who have a vote. Why do we have the electoral College and we have had Gore and Hillery lose even though they won the national vote.........OK. I have to get over this????? OK, my wife is questioning me about why I am spending so much money on wine, lately. I tell her it is deductible for research. I don't know if that helps so here goes, first installment........I try all these wines Blind!!! I tried 4 Napa Cabs in the last two nights and I was shocked, our 2019 Cab stood up to them. I will have more tomorrow, but all the wines were very expensive and one was $200...........It was corked................................................ Why do wineries use corks? Are they trying to fool customers that a cork is better than a screwcap? I guess I will die before I hear that screwcaps are better than corks..........BUT I hope Electric Cars may in my life time be the dominant choice?????? Wednesday February 10, 2021 So here are a few of the Napa Cabs I have tried so far: Tasted all blind 2017 Ghost Block Napa Cab, $60. Nice balance 93 rating 2016 BV Private Reserve Napa Cab, $120. Nice Balance but a little thin, 92 rating 2019 David Coffaro $38. Nice balance, lighter in color, but had plenty of power, 93 rating 7+ OK, I tried some wines from Chile tonight and I will have some notes tomorrow. I just want to say, so far I prefer them to Napa cabs Finally TSLA is coming down so I may buy back my shares I sold before, but the stock would still have to go down much more SO yes I could have had a.........a......... bigger profit if I had held on to all my shares I sold . , but I have plenty of realized profit......I can purchase my NEW Model S...... BIG NEWS.........I turned off all the power to our property today and the Generator came on!!!!!!!!!!!! After a year of problems we have back up for the winery and water and internet................................................... More big news...I sent a message to Corison, the $200 bottle of wine and let them know the wine I had bought from K&L was corked, in my opinion after tasting high end wines since 1969, but I did mention I got a refund form K&L. They responded within 20 minutes and they are going to send me a replacement wine, at $200 a bottle........ Pat says they can do that because we know no mater what, you could not justify even a $100 a bottle wine. It could not cost them close to that.......YOU can still see on our website accurate totals, we mention the real cost of a bottle of wine........that said, nice of them and I will see what I think........ OH more, Jose is driving down 36 cases of wine to our customer to her 90 year old Father in Richmond and then he is going to drive it to her home in Fresno, total trip for Jose and Her Father, 400+ miles.......... I love what WE do Thursday February 11, 2021 7+ We had our great Water solar people here to day to make sure I have back up if the power goes off in the night, but I mentioned, the generator will be on if a power outage so the Guest House will be powered up and that is where the water system is and the internet connection. They said so be it we are here to help you out. Politics are on my mind but you know what I think so also TSLA was not down today so I did not buy more stock........ Jose and his brother Cristian went down to Richmond and dropped off the 36 cases to our customer's Father and he will drive down to Fresno tomorrow and drop off 10 cases that he could put in his car. I am happy we can take care of our customers. Corison sent me an email that they will send me a new release of their 2017 wine, it says $195 and no charge.......... Everyday I have so many things that I can not relate all........it keeps me going..........like today I had to send off our sales for last year to our accountants........good luck.......here is what I mentioned to them: "I could just go through all the deposits into my WestAmerica account but that would include "Futures" which should not be included until received by the customer. It probably would be pretty close over years if we average. Otherwise I would have to go through Shopify and figure out who took possession but it is very complicated because at times there are Futures and bottled wine in the same order. Let me know what you want me to do. I have plenty of time!!!......... OK, here is a good one!! We used to get 40 inches of rain between October and March but this time period we only have 10 so what does that mean? Here..........we usually get a small amount of rain from April through September, maybe a few inches............Global Warming Friday February 12, 2021 Here are a few comments on the Chile wines I have tasted over the last two nights. One bottle is really neat and a picture is below. That wine is the 2015 "La Piu Belle" a Bordeaux bend. I gave it a 94, nice balance but somewhat upfront, $90. I am sure the bottle cost them more than two dollars and maybe as much as $5. One of the other wines has been m favorite Cab anywhere and is the Almaviva also a Bordeaux bend. great balance and powerful. I gave it a 96. But expensive at $135, I have 6 more to taste. The other Chile wine is the Domus Aurea Cabernet Sauvignon more acid upfront but also great balance. I gave it a 95 and only $55.  ......7 I Had delivered to us today a wine shipment I did not know to suspect. It was a case from UPS so I looked at the label and it said it was from a UPS store.....I am sorry this is really a mystery.......... I got this case with no information except it was from New York. I looked at all my orders back East and could not find the order... I spent 2 hrs trying to figure this out.......who would send me a 12 pack wine that I do not remember to order. I remember everything that is important, but I do check myself everyday I have looked at all my credit card info and can not find a charge that includes all these high end wines.......sure I have ordered a lot of high end Cabs and I have plenty more to taste BUT I can not find who sent me this wine and I do not see I ordered this one case of wine worth over $1200 so possession is 90 percent of the law? I have seen i have purchased a few of these wines recently but some I have not tasted before like the Groth.......... iiitttt says I have 5 bottles of Groth Napa Cab in the box of 12 and I can not remember a time when I have ordered 5 wines again, before I have tasted......it is a mystery which I would like to pursue tomorrow Maybe some one likes me and sends me this wine....no way....did someone make a mistake. It is from NY and I have bought wine there but I have looked at all my orders and can not find it. I even put in all these wines into Wine Searcher and can not find a place that had all these wines and shipped to me. I will call the UPS store tomorrow and I hope they can give me some answers............but I am not returning this wine........... I bought 10 shares of TSLA today at 788. It went down as low as 780 so it closed at 816. should I sell and make a small profit of $280......three days is a long time so I will have to wait for Tuesday since the market has a day off on Monday...... I tried again the cabs tonight I had open for a few days, tasting blind always.......... and they were all good, including the BV and our wine which both were not as good yesterday........age, days help. I leave all my wine open with a simple top. Do not vacuum, my opinion....it sucks out the fruit, oxidation is not a good thing........I digress....... The cat right now is trying to get in the office again for some reason.....remember he has been trapped in the office all night because i forget him So I have to stand up and I did not let him in 7+ I need some IPA Tennis next.....politics a little sleep and Kindle is good Saturday February 13, 2021 8 in the morning, 11am New York time The mystery continues! I called he UPS store in New Rochelle, New York to try to find out who sent me a case of high end Cabernet and all they know is someone dropped it off at their store and paid to have it sent to me. I will try to research more but I may not find out who sent it. The guy in the shop agreed with me, I may have free wine!!! I need to look at all my credit card charges.......... New update at 8:35 am......I found a charge on one of my credit cards for $975.25 which seems to be the right amount. It is from Rye Brook Wines near New Rochelle. I have purchased wine from them in the past. I called them up and a nice lady had me tell her each bottle which was in the case. She shows no record I purchased this wine from them. She will research and will get back to me. I assume this wine was charged to me but should have gone to someone else...........I really do not want this wine but I guess I could keep it BUT I would want a refund of some amount or they can have it picked up here and sent back to them, I would then get a full refund. New update at 10:45 am.........The nice lady called me back and she said she can not find anyone else who ordered this wine. She said it looks like someone adjusted the order for some reason, like she said I called? I never called and I told her I never ordered the wine, especially I would not order 4 bottles of Groth when I have never tasted it and also 2 bottles each of other wine, a total of 8 more in the 12 pack case. She said the shipping people are off so she will get back to me on Monday. She said she believed me.......time will tell......... New update at 2:45 pm........This is getting stranger!! I found an order from Rye Brook back on Jan 28. It was for 2 Reserve Groth at $125 a bottle and 4 of the other wines I received yesterday. I did not receive this exact order so I guess they combined this with 6 more bottles and that is what i received yesterday BUT, wait........The order I received yesterday contained only one bottle of the Reserve Groth and three bottles of the regular Groth which is $46.94. More confusing, I was charged on my credit cards, $1410.56. The total should have been $1361.51 with shipping. I sure do not want most of these wines so I will wait to see what they have to say on Monday........... 7+ It has been a complicated day again as you know. But I have been working on................... WHAT are our sales last year for the accountants.........It is real complicated with Shopify........sure the stock has gone up but this is not a program that works for our "Futures" That we do................. Shopify is not easy to figure out our sales from last year........one problem it does not know how to figure out partial orders when they are fulfilled......Also there are partial refunds so I have to go in to figure out those..........I will do it but it may take me a few days......Hey I have nothing to do until we blend our 2020 wine again next in March.......... Monday will tell me more about the order, but I love trying other wines now after a few years. It is always good for me to evaluate what I think how our wines stand up to other great producers in the world. Remember is it is only my palate Pat and I have have our preferences in wine.......... I tried tonight our 2016 Aglianico and two other intense Wines........Aglianico From Italia and Barolo from Italy. I will have more input tomorrow........tennis........where is my IPA........get upstairs Dave and go into your Movie Room..... OH no upload.....Coffaro.com is down for only us here....We thought it had to do with all the action in our tasting room, but then it has happened several times since..........but at random?
