Catarino and Martha are coming back to see us tomorrow. It has been 2 weeks since their son decided to end his life. It will be hard for Pat and I to greet them and see what they are up for at this time. They are more than welcome to take more time off. Catalina and Jesse are coming in again on Monday to pack up wine.

Catarino and Martha came in today and they looked like they were ready to move along. I remember my Father died when I was 10 so I know a little about what they are going threw, but it has to be more intense when your son dies...................
Jose and Salvador are off this week so I will have to wait to get a sample of my new Cab in French oak and my Sangiovese blend with Nebbiolo in French oak. I have to decide what to do with those barrels, whether to blend into my Italiano or Cab..........OR keep separate
I did not get much sleep last night, still waiting on the results for my Eco cardiogram. I learned it should have been easy with no pain but this guy made me SAY.......stop it hurts. He said he was looking for the problem SO why do I have to wait another day?
I am through with some great food over this Thanksgiving time so I went on the scale today and was surprised I was only up one pound SO now I am at 218 pounds and I want to get down to 210 by December 24 and then in January I will be down to 200. I love this diet............1200 calories a day for 24 days to 210...........SO
I just took my BP and it came out at 87/50...............

I heard yesterday Jose is on vacation so I will wait until next week to get a sample of my Cabs and Sangiovese blend in French oak............
Pat and I have been looking at the great Get Back Beatles on Disney+. You could do a trial, for one week . It is so interesting how they come up with new songs for Abbey Road and the Let it Be albums, their last sessions AND albums..........
The Beatles were my favorite Group in the 60's. Before that it was Elvis and in 1969 I discovered a hit ounce in a while. That is when my favorite group was The Stones and especially Santana. Now if I had been in to a hit back in the 60's, I grew up in San Francisco, I am sure the Beatles would have been My Favorite of all time, such great lyrics..........SO now seeing them again is wonderful.
Pat and I had some salad tonight. Mine was mostly beet greens. I will have less than 1000 calories today and I am going to do this until December 24 when I hope to be down to 210.
Wednesday December One, 2021
As some of you know I had an Electrocardiogram last week on November 24 and I have not heard back. My Primary doctor has not told me what the results could be. I have called and sent an email so maybe tomorrow I will get a reply OR should I call again? You also know someone thinks I have a problem with my heart sssssssssssssssssooooo Are they wrong, is no news good???
The Beatles Get back documentary is GREAT. I highly recommend it. Pat and I still have more to look at........it is 3 parts........
Tonight like last night I am back on my diet of 1200 calories a day on average. So I put some Gizzards and Goat Cubes in a pot and cooked for 3 hours, and of course a small amount of great deduction stock, I know probably no one thinks that would be a nice experience, but I did.........garlic and peppers help

Finally my lady primary care gave me a call she said I had a few issues but did not seem too concerned especially I go in Monday and do the stress test and we will have more information
Otherwise everything is great..........We talked about my BP pills and I will see what my pressure is tonight when I go to bed, that will be after several hours of some alcohol. As I have said I have cut that back and also calories.......

First of all why are we the only civilized country that lets guns be obtained so easily....Even dictators do not allow a young person to have a gun.....I do not own a gun, I did fire some in Basic Training in 1968 and it was so easy to fire an M16.......I am fortunate to have a gate here but I do not think someone would come in here anyway and try to confront me so I understand some out there are concerned and want to keep their house safe, but how long do we have to go on and have someone easily kill them self, like Cristian Flores? and all these killings?????????
I loved the Beatles concert on Disney+.....I can't get it out of my mind. I am not a fan of documentaries but this was the best one ever and even better than "When We Were Kings", even Foreman liked that one. This one about the Beatles jamming for 8 hours was great, but I am a Beatles Junkie. There is a lot of nothing happening but it was so interesting to see how they made Let It Be, it took them 3 weeks, I only got to see 8 hours.
What was so interesting, Abbey Road was hardly discussed and it was released before Let It Be, but recorded after SOSOSO what was that jam session like, Abbey Road which is my favorite album?? There are so many great songs on Let It Be, they are in my mind constantly all the time in the last few days, but one is missing from the release of the album, "Don't Let Me Down"!! I found it on an Album later called Let It Be, Naked, remastered..............Paul had to step up.......the album is hard to find................but I think Don't Let Me Down was made on a single with the flip side...."Get Back". If you like Get Back you will like this Disney+.........They practiced it more than anything else........

Last night I found out I do own the Abbey Road sessions. I bought Abbey Road Anniversary Super Deluxe and it does contain the sessions but I don't think it is a video. I did listen to most of the Blu-ray audio version of the album last night and the sound is incredible. Tonight I will check out the session discs.
So we tried razor clams again tonight and they were somewhat better than last time, but half were so tough to chew. We have had them in restaurants up in Washington and they were real good, Pat thinks up there they may know how to separate the tough part from the good, so yes we did find more that was somewhat tender. I will not try again!!!!!!!!
I will look at some more Beatles from Disney+ tonight or maybe just the great Abbey Road Blu-ray audio OR I do have the White album in Blu-ray..........

It is Sunday so Pizza for Pat and I. Kate and Bryan could not be here, they are still dealing with their Raise of 12 feet in Albany
That said Pat and I had a nice pizza tonight. I can not compete with Bryan or even Brad if he comes back for a taste off. Bryan's and Brad's are more traditional, chewy and I can not figure it out So I do a crunchy one, yes still good to my taste....Brad will put up a picture. Pat wanted some salami on her side and I did veggie.........
So I went back up to do 3 BP pills and My Blood Pressure is doing fine. But tonight I am down to 71/43 so I have to be careful and read down here before I go up to see more NFL.........I go for my Stress test tomorrow so I need to get up early.........

I know some of you may be interested in my stress test today. I woke up at 3am concerned about it so I got little sleep. I had to be down there at 9:15 and I was early and it was supposed to start at 9:30 and I was happy the technician came out at 9:25. I had my Kindle so I could wait for awhile. He took me in and injected something in my arm and then took me to a high chair to check my heart. He asked me why I was here and I told him I had a high calcium score and he is a technician so He asked me if I had any symptoms and I said no and he said this new calcium test is still being evaluated and maybe it needs more time. He is only a technician but he has done this for 37 years.
The whole test took about 1.5 hours with plenty of time to read.........this is to see if i have complications when they stress my heart and I had no stress like the tech said may happen....... so what is this about. As you can imagine...............I want the test result NOW........
OK, I survived another day. NFL now and an early bed.................

I still did not hear back form my primary provider. She charges us even on medicare a premium of $1200 a year
As you know I want to hear back for my Stress test results yesterday and I got some interesting info from Dri, Brads wife who is a doctor and she went through all I sent her about The echocardiogram and she said she saw no problems with my age at 78 years old. So why are they doing all these tests she asked, just like the technician yesterday.......Where is my primary care provider, why has she not come back to me.........I thought about calling today but I was reading a Kindle, The Singing Trees, I liked it...........I will call tomorrow........but why do I not have the results?????????>>>>>>>>>>>
We had scallops tonight. They have very little calories and I found out they were small. SO we divided up equal and it looks like today may be a new low in calories.......under 1000? should I have some chocolate, not yet. Should I have some lamb and roast potatoes for the fist time in 2 months,,,...maybe Friday............but
Bryan's parents are coming this weekend and they will help out in a few projects here and of course the big one in Albany........where Kate and Bryan, 2 structural people have raised their new house 11 feet. It will be great to see them all......BTW, Kate is due on January 27...........................
BP tonight 80/49..............Once I go up to see if Dexter New is any good, my BP will be back up to normal............
The most exciting today was we starting blending barrels for our 2021 wines...................

My primary doctor said I am a heart attack ready to happen
I got the results on the Lexiscan and it showed many problems
I have no symptoms but............As some of you know heart attacks can come on with no symptoms before. I assume that is usually when you are younger, but I did see it could happen when I am 78 years old. I have spent most of the day looking at what all this means.
My Primary care Mayorga, did not respond to my request until I called today after I was told the results would be in by yesterday. She said since the Cardiologist had made the request, she did not get it. OHOHOH. I asked why??? She had to know where I had the test. I assumed she knew??? Once I gave her the place she sent me the test. I had Dri look at it and she said I should get another opinion BUT there is no one around here who would have an appointment for months, they are busy. So
Can I die soon, I do not know, but from what I see, I am at risk. And the tests are an indication. I need to find out more. So I go into the Cardiologist next Monday and I will see what he says.
In the mean time we racked our 2021 Block 4 today and Jose gave me a sample.......hey I like young wines, it was loaded with fruit.............

The good news is I am still alive.......otherwise nothing important........EXCEPT
I received a message from Mayorga, my primary care and I think I will keep her. Here is the message::::
"I think starting over with a new cardiologist is a mistake. It is not Dr. Halpern but some staff member who is not passing on the information. We have seen a huge decline in services since covid, everyone is working understaffed. I know you are nervous about your heart disease."
I looked into a new cardiologist for second opinion and any one around here or even in SF are out until February unless there would be a cancellation. Like I said I see my cardiologist on Monday, the one who asked for all these tests. It will be raining a lot, as some of you know I do not like wearing long pants and especially a coat so it will be not to my liking at 4pm in Santa Rosa, 30 miles away..........
Tonight I tasted the next two 2021 wines Jose and Salvador blended, Aca Modot and Petite Sirah and they had more structure than the Block 4 I had last night,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,still a lot of fruit..........
Kate and Bryan are home after a trip to The City and to Albany. Bryan's Parents from Wisconsin will be here on Sunday for Pizza.........

Bryan's parents are here tonight and we talked to his Father Doug when he arrived and we had a great conversation. The parents will be here tomorrow for Pizza. I have my dough going and Bryan will do his........it will be fun....
I am trying to get on my stationary bike every day and use weights while on there. I hear exercise will help my heart?
