May 30 - June 5, 2021

	Sunday May 30, 2021 It's Pizza Sunday as usual, but this time we have 9 of us so it will be an adventure.......Bryan is making three small ones in the pizza oven on my deck and I am making a very large one with a little pesto, a lot of olive oil and cheese with some pepperoni, mushrooms, green onions and olives, of course on my BBQ. Tuesday June, One 2021, lower today, only high of 91 8+ Oh gee it is Tuesday? It has been a nice few days with friends we have not seen for over a year and we also had Susie for one day and Kate and Bryan here for two days and then Pat's sister Sharon and husband Rick who likes our tasting room....and Rick helped out a lot, nice few days.... Tonight......Pat and I had left overs from all those days. We had Lemon chicken, pizza left over. I still have the great pasta we made the other night        ............ Tomorrow I will have a Kobe rib and Thursday I will have a marinated lamp chop. As you know I like food....... Jim Forchini came by today and wanted and insisted to pay for wine. He wanted it for a memorial for his wife and we insisted, we wanted to donate the wine. He wanted a Rose and we had it. There is always issues out in the vineyard today and Catarino has figured out some. The Generator is still not working!!!!!!..................................................... Tennis, Giants.....time for an IPA, but some how I do not have some Torpedo in my frig, we must have consumed some over these great days..........I am OK I do have cold Pliny It is past 7:30 now, but I may not go out.......oh maybe I will.......this last several days many of us went out to look at we have out there, it was so nice to have friends enjoy and learn what I love. OK, why not................. back from the vineyard........Oh, I had to check one problem out in the vineyard....., good thing it is out in the vineyard!!!.........Catarino and Antonio did a great job of repairing a leak this weekend and I was impressed we now have copper instead of ..........""""galvanized pipes age, the zinc coating erodes and pipes corrode. Lead, a dangerous toxin, may build when the pipes corrode""""............gee, I need an IPA....Pat says I say too much, but I say, I just state the facts Wednesday June, 2 2021, lower again today, only high of 88, low with fog, 52 low, the vines get a rest.......... 8+ OK so Pat.......she said while seeing a Giants game last night there was a long commercial and it was for Ford F150 EV and it will not be out until next year and only!!!! go 235 miles on a charge........gee Tesla will come out with the Cyber Truck and they do not have to waste money on commercials..........seriously has anyone seen a commercial for a Tesla....... That said so TSLA was down again to day so if you are interested in the Market, I think it is time to buy. It could get lower or not, Most of us know Electric autos will sell a lot of cars in the future and I predict Tesla will sell their share, maybe the most, but even if they sell a good percentage Tesla stock will have a big run..........SOOO Like I have said, Cruise stocks and Airlines, they are up.......patient Dave, TSLA will go up....... We put up a new sign today saying we are OPEN, but by reservation. It is out on the road now. We have had some people come in unannounced and we accepted them if we are open, but even to day after putting the sign out a few minutes earlier  one of our customers came in to pick up his wine announced. He was a talker and we listened, we gave him his wine. So we know...........Now he has a nice property in San Francisco, and I need to find out from Pat the address, but it is Big and survived the 1906 earthquake........ Still have not heard from the generator guy. He said the guy who may know will come in tomorrow, but this GUY came in before and fixed it? No 7:45 I just got a sip of Torpedo, nice after a night off. So I have been out on the vineyard every night so I will go with Catarino  tomorrow...... Vacation, only a day or two, I have to ask Pat................... Tomorrow is another day................. Thursday June, 3 2021, Higher  today, 103, low with fog a little 54, the vines get a rest.......... 8 TSLA was down big today so I have to buy more. Those in the know, who ever they are.....say, Tesla sales in China are down last month, look it up...... As you know I am into politics all day and in to the evening. I have a lot of opinions but I only say something when it is appropriate. I will say I want infrastructure so I am upset we can not get it done............ Generator!!.......I heard it is under warranty, I hope even after 1+ years, waiting. The tech with a lot of tries got it going again, but how long will that last.................................. So it is hot still but we should cool down to 50's, the vines need a rest. We do have air conditioning, especially for this day. When we got here in 1979, it took Pat and I many years to invest in one, we had little money. Now we have Daikin, so efficient............. Oh I had to do a sip of Torpedo....nice Pat and I had left overs tonight with the great Rib eye, rare............ Oh gee, again, I needed to see what is happening in the vineyard And I saw our great tomato garden, we should have fruit in three weeks? Friday June, 4 2021, Lower high today but the sun was intense, 97, low no fog 57, and the low was still at 70 At 6am....the vines will get little rest.......... OK to the chase, I like the taste of IPA's, the, the more hops the better .....I like Torpedo because it is intense but the rest of our family likes Pliny, more balanced and much more expensive. As you know i buy $100 cabs so the cost is not a factor, but I am always looking for a bargain. TSLA was up a little and that is good for my sleep tonight.........I woke up at 1:45 Am and did not get back to sleep, too much on my mind and way too hot........Air will be on tonight!!! So what do I do to get back to sleep......I have heard from others who get up and do things like reading. I have tried that and it keeps me up more...........so I just rolled over several times on each side and at least mellowed out for 4 hours with my eyes closed. ......So yes I got up at 6am and saw TSLA was up somewhat. I have taken a nap several times today and I am OK to see the Giants game and some Tennis and will be in bed soon, hopefully, a needed sleep........ 8pm......I have a new BBQ here today it is big like my Weber, but it is a Napoleon, 9 burner and we will get it going on Monday........... Catarino grows some tomatoes in the sandy loam near the creek. He said his are showing some color so I have to go out again and see how my tomatoes are doing, only a short run in my scooter....... 8+ I am just back and my tomatoes do not have color yet. I am so happy to BE out in the vineyard again. Two years ago because of my back I rarely took a walk out in the vineyard........now I can use my scooter to head out and then walk a shorter way................. Tomorrow is another day........ Saturday June, 5 2021, high today back up to 98, low no fog 49, ....the vines will get a little rest.......... Lamb and roast potatoes my favorite dinner except pizza, Sunday, tomorrow. So we had Lamb tonight, potatoes with a lot of seasoning, lemon, onions, olive oil and garlic....... Anita Forchini was a special person, I hope you saw the link, she was the first one born in Honolulu after the attack on December 7, 1941. It was nice to see several people who came up to say hello, we left in 45 minutes, My back was killing me standing up and I did not consume any of the great wine there, I do not taste in the hot afternoon, 97 degrees.....great to see even the guy who sold me this property, Dave Hadden in 1979.......what a story that is.......maybe tomorrow...... We had a few customers in today, not many. People over at Jim Forchini's celebration was fun and many asked how our sales were going. I said great last year but slowing down because we do not have the barrel tasting in the last two years and we sell a lot of wine at those events. Jim had so many people there today celebration Anita, his wife who just went from this Earth or like I think, she is still here in our minds........ ..scooter, vineyard soon......... Nothing new out there.........IPA and Tennis next
