2006 Fresco
Back in 2005 we decided that it was time to create a beautiful, floral, fruity wine that would be the perfect for the summer. I begged and pleaded for a rose, but in the words of Dave, "I will never make a rose!" Here we are in its second vintage, a nice, light bodied and full flavored wine that assumes the position of the everybody wine. I am personally tired of every single wine under $20 tasting overly fruity without depth. I want complexity! I want interesting! I want fruity, not sweet! I wanted to makesomething for other people who think like me, and I believe that we achieved just that.
Grab a bottle of this and pair it up with all those spicy foods you love so much. Maybe some Mexican food, Thai food, Indian food, Caribbean food or another alternative where pairing it with a red is sometimes difficult. Forget that Riesling which everyone else is drinking and test out this bad boy, which has two Portuguese grapes, an obscure French grape, a Spanish grape and a University of Davis creation. For the price of $15 a bottle or even less after discount, how could you not grab some of this perfect, inexpensive and delicious wine that will certainly be a crowd pleaser!
Barrel Tasting Along the Russian River Wine Road Event March 1-2 and 8-9
We always love to have you stop by for wine tasting and our "Futures" barrel tasting, which you are more than welcome to do every day. Coming up the first two weekends in March, the Russian River Wine Road is having the 30th anniversary of their annual Barrel Tasting event in which we participate every year. It is a great way to gather a group and head on over for food, music and over 10 wines to barrel sample here! If you come by, just ask for “Matt” and I’ll personally taste you on some of the best for 2007. Be sure to designate a driver so that you can fully enjoy the entire event safely!
Enjoy and Cheers!
